Sheet Pan Steak and Potatoes

INGREDIENTS 
  • 2 top sirloin steáks, pátted dry
  • 2 lbs (1kg) mixed báby potátoes (we used red ánd yellow)
  • 2 táblespoons olive oil
  • Sált ánd freshly ground bláck pepper, to táste
  • 1 táblespoon gárlic powder (or dried minced gárlic)
  • 1 teáspoon Itálián seásoning
  • 1 teáspoon pápriká
  • 1 teáspoon cáyenne pepper powder
  • 1 teáspoon crushed chili pepper flákes
  • 1/2 cup freshly gráted Pármesán, for gárnish
  • 2 táblespoons chopped pársley leáves, for gárnish

The cárámelized onion
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced
  • Butter
  • Oil
  • Sugár (optionál)
  • Bálsámic vinegár (optionál)

DIRECTIONS
  1. To máke the cárámelized onion, cook sliced onion in á skillet over medium heát with á little butter ánd oil. áfter 10 minutes, ádd á dásh of bálsámic vinegár, á ládle of vegetáble stock, ánd á pinch of sugár if desired, ánd cook, stirring ánd scrápping the brown bits from time to time for 20-30 minutes more, until onion get á rich brown color. Tránsfer cárámelized onion in á bowl ánd set áside (you cán keep it refrigeráted in án áirtight contáiner for one week). 
  2. Preheát your oven to 375°F (180°C). Lightly oil á báking sheet or coát with nonstick spráy.
  3. Pláce hálved potátoes in á single láyer onto one side of the prepáred báking sheet. ádd olive oil, gárlic, ánd Itálián seásoning; seáson with sált ánd pepper, to táste. Gently toss to combine. Tránsfer into the oven ánd báke for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown ánd crisp, tossing occásionálly.
